Carol Elvidge

Contributing Writer

Carol Elvidge is British, born in the London area, but later on transferring to Kent where she received most of her secondary education. Later in life she gained a joint honours degree in English Literature and History, and an MA in Historical Studies at Staffordshire University.

Her interest in writing has always been there, right from an early age, but it has only been in recent years that circumstances have enabled her to develop this interest more fully. Since working as an English teacher in Taiwan, she has been presented with opportunities to write, based on her many experiences. She has written articles for and proofread academic and local journals as well as proofreading publications for a local tourist authority in Taiwan. She is looking forward to being able to develop her writing still further through Suite 101 and hopefully to provide entertaining as well as informative reading for the wider public to enjoy.

Further qualifications include:

Certified ESL teacher

City and Guilds Further and Adult Education Teacher’s Certificate

City and Guild Initial Certificate in Teaching Basic Skills (ESL)

Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL)
